East Mills Defeats Villisca 4-3
Malvern Iowa, June 20, 2008
Jake Sneed and Levi Helbling combined to allow 3 hits in a 4-3 victory vs. the Blue Jays from Villisca. Matt Miller and Alan Alger led the Wolverine hitters with 2 hits each.
“Jake Sneed and Levi Helbling each deserve pats on the back for the way they pitched in this game”, said Coach Green. “We committed 6 errors in this game, but Jake and Levi buckled down and got it done when we really needed it. This was by far our best win of the season and one we really needed. We travel to Villisca on Monday to do this again. Hopefully we can get the same type of game out of our pitchers.”
