EMHS Athletes Honored
Kadel and Helbling Athletes of the Year

EMHS Seniors Cassie Kadel and Levi Helbling were honored recently by being chosen 2007- 2008 Mills County Athletes of the Year by the Glenwood Opinion Tribune. Kadel shares her award with Christa Stewart of Glenwood.
According to the OT, between her two schools, NV and East Mills, Kadel lettered 17 times. She participated in softball, volleyball, basketball and track. Kadel qualified for state track twice. Kadel was a starter in most of those sports all four years. She received multiple honors for her talent.
Levi Helbling also participated in 4 sports - football,basketball, track and baseball. He was a key part of the 9-0 East Mills 2007 football season. Helbling also participated in two state track meets and has been the recipient of numerous recognitions for his athletic ability.
Congratulations to both athletes for their outstanding high school careers!
