Scholarship and Career Searches

SCHOLARSHIP SEARCHES
You should also contact the college of your choice or check their web page to see what scholarships are available.
Scholarship search options: check websites, college websites, the bulletin board in the lunch room, your parents/grandparents work place, organizations that your parents/grandparents are involved with, and your church.
You should never have to pay to do a scholarship search or apply for a scholarship. An upfront fee is not needed for scholarships or loan applications.
Never give credit card, bank account information, or social security information to award providers.
An official-sounding name or endorsement does not automatically mean legitimacy.
Apply for financial aid should never cost anything.
Free financial aid seminars are not generally totally free, and you can get the same results by doing your FAFSA in January which is free.
You may need reference letters. Do you know who you will ask? Make sure to give your reference at least two weeks to write a wonderful letter of recommendation for you.
